Rui Jie Peng is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Lafayette College, Pennsylvania. Her research interests include labour, gender, migration, race and ethnicity, and political and transnational sociology. Her current book project is an ethnography of the understudied ethnic Qiang women and their labour practices in a migrant-sending community in Sichuan Province, China.
