Lena Kaufmann

Lena Kaufmann is an SNSF Ambizione Fellow at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and Principal Investigator of the project ‘Digital Agriculture: Sino-European Contrasts, Correspondences, and Collaborations’. Trained as an anthropologist and Sinologist in Berlin, Rome, Shanghai, and Zurich, she has researched migration and agriculture in China and Chinese digital infrastructures in Switzerland. She is the author of Rural–Urban Migration and Agro-Technological Change in Post-Reform China (Amsterdam University Press, 2021) and the spokesperson for the Regional Group China(s) of the German Anthropological Association.
