Jordan Lynton Cox is the Associate Director of Research at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at The Ohio State University. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Mississippi State University. Her primary research examines modern Sino-Caribbean relations—specifically, the development Chinese identity in Jamaica and the impacts of People’s Republic of China economic expansion in the Caribbean. Her research has appeared in Verge: Studies in Global Asias and the Hague Journal of Diplomacy. She is currently working on a monograph, tentatively titled Hybrid Diasporas in the Age of Rising China.
