Grazia Ting Deng is a lecturer in anthropology at Brandeis University, Massachusetts. She is a sociocultural anthropologist working at the intersection of global Chinese and immigrant Italy. Her research broadly focuses on migration, racial formation, global capitalism, and labour and health. She is the author of Chinese Espresso: Contested Race and Convivial Space in Contemporary Italy (Princeton University Press, 2024). Her work has appeared in Anthropologica, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Ethnography, Annual Review of the Sociology of Religion, and International Migration.
