Denise Y. Ho

Denise Y. Ho is Associate Professor of twentieth-century Chinese history at Yale University. Her first book, Curating Revolution: Politics on Display in Mao’s China (Cambridge University Press, 2017), studies the role of exhibitions and material culture in political movements. With Jennifer Altehenger, she edited a volume entitled Material Contradictions in Mao’s China (University of Washington Press, 2022). Her current research examines the history of the Hong Kong–China border.
