Costanza Franceschini

Costanza Franceschini is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University, Netherlands. She currently works as a researcher at the LDE Centre PortCityFutures and as a coordinator for the project Sea-ing Africa: Tracing Legacies and Engaging Future Promises of ‘Big’ Infrastructure Projects in Port City Regions in Ghana and Morocco. Her research focuses on the ethnographic study of ‘China in Africa’, with a particular focus on Sino-African infrastructural entanglements, Chinese firms’ localisation strategies, and everyday interactions and practices of brokerage in Ghana–China relations.
